I am a senior at UW double-majoring in Biology and Comparative History of Ideas and currently an undergraduate researcher in the UW Institute of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine. ALA's commitment to service and education were cornerstone to why I joined UW ALA two years ago and why I strive to continue the legacy of those before me today. In my free time I enjoy engaging in various outdoor activities, model building, playing the violin and volunteering with the Math Engineering Science Achievement program.

I’m a junior, double majoring in Psychology and Communications. I was born in Taiwan but moved to Mukilteo, WA when I was twelve. I'm a Junior at UW, majoring in Chemistry and Biochemistry. I enjoy watching or playing football and baseball in my free time. I also volunteer at Children's hospital and work in a stem cell lab at UW's Institute of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine. I was initially interested in the American Lung Association club because my grandfather died of lung cancer many years ago and several members of my family continue to smoke to this day. I started coming to the meetings because I wanted to help raise awareness and fundraise for the many people suffering from lung disease and lung cancer and I ended up sticking around because I really liked the group of people in the club and I felt like the work we are doing can really make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Hello everyone! My name is Kenneth and I am currently a sophomore. I'm trying to major in microbiology with a double minor in global health and bioethics. I decided to join UW ALA because I wanted to spread awareness to our campus the dangers of lung cancer and I known a few people who have been affected by lung cancer. Besides all of that, I love to shop for clothes, eat, and watch reality shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians.
